The Boone County High School Photography students are proud to present their latest project:

       

                                    "NAME IN A FRAME"

 

The Name Frame assignment requires students to look for and photograph shapes created in nature and in man-made structures that form letters of the alphabet.

 

This project places a great deal of focus upon the real world experience of starting and running a photography business. The idea is to combine these letters into a word based upon the customer's request. We start with the alphabet assignment. Then, students research modern-day photography careers. We discuss the potential for starting their own photo business as well as the logistics of operating a business and working with clients.

 

We then incorporate digital art skills into the creation of a business card and product advertising.  Students are encouraged to go out into their communities and talk to potential "clients" about their photography business, showing "clients" what skills they have to offer and provide them with a small portfolio of work.
